Finance Committee

 

The Finance Committe is responsible for overseeing the financial health and stability of the organization. They are also responsible for creating an annual budget and outward projections.

Curriculum Committee

 

The Curriculum Committee works with the Curriculum Coordinator to create policies and procedures and ensure competent decisions on curriculum. They are also responsible for coordinating the strategic direction of future curriculum and testing needs.

Friends of the GCCSA Committee

 

The Friends of Gate City Charter School for the Arts committees develops and enhances the school community by executing all internal fundraising programs. They are also responsible for creating, managing, and budgeting for internal school events. The Friends will have an autonomous structure to perform necessary activities and functions.

Community Relations & Endowment Committee

 

The Community Relations & Endowment Committee creates and executes a strategy for marketing the school to the local community. They manage all outward facing fundraising events, including the Annual Gala and any other external fundraising programs. They are also responsible for coordinating spotlight tours, attending and participating in local Chamber & Rotary events, and charitable gifts to the school.

Grant Coordination Committee

 

The Grant Coordination Committee develops and coordinates formal grant writing position(s) for the school in collaboration for school priorities developed in partnership with the School Director, Friends of Gate City Charter School and Community Relations & Endowment Committees.

Human Resources, Performance & Compliance Committee

 

The Human Resources, Performance & Compliance Committee is responsible for creating and implementing policies related to employment, hiring, termination, benefits and evaluations. They are also responsible for advisement to the Board on creation of new school positions. They can develop a plan for periodic assessment of the school’s overall academic performance as well as its adherence to the charter’s mission and philosophy.
